Accessibility and Confidentiality

This anonymised survey database, enriched and ready for analysis, is made available for re-use. However, it is still COMPULSORY to cite the source and to document any changes made to the database in the event of redistribution. Users are also required to share any derived databases under the same licence.

Anonymisation

The delivered database does not contain any personally identifiable information. Sensitive data such as emails, personal comments, dates and times of collection, etc., have been removed or downgraded in order to preserve the confidentiality of respondents.

Licence Agreement

In order to promote the openness, collaboration and re-use of these data within the scientific community and beyond, the “IMAGEUN - Student Survey” database is made available under the Open Database License (OdbL) of the Open Knowledge Foundation.

The OdbL has the following characteristics, among others:

  • The Re-user of the database may:
    • Copy, distribute and use the elements of the database
    • Produce creations from the database
    • Adapt, modify and build on the database
  • Subject to:

    • The source must be mentioned: The source must be indicated if the database is re-used, created from the data or redistributed

    • Sharing under identical conditions: If the Re-User publicly uses an adapted version of the database, or produces a creation from an adapted database, its production must be made available under the terms of the OdbL licence

Usage Monitoring

Data access and use activities will be monitored to detect any inappropriate or unauthorised use. In the event of a suspected breach, corrective action will be taken immediately to preserve data integrity and protect the confidentiality of respondents.

Archiving Repository

To facilitate access to the survey data, the entire database has been deposited on the IR* Huma-Num’s Nakala data warehouse. This platform ensures the management, dissemination and long-term development of the database..

Citation

Any use or publication of the data (or produced from the data) must be accompanied by appropriate citation. Users are encouraged to acknowledge the source of the data by citing the ANR-DFG IMAGEUN research project and referring to the Open Database License (OdbL) in the following manner:
